Some years ago, writer Jhumpa Lahiri - who has a Pulitzer Prize and several other accolades under her belt - decided she would no longer write in English, the language in which she had won such acclaim.
Instead, she uprooted her family and moved to Rome, where she proceeded to immerse herself wholeheartedly in Italian.
